Terms of Membership

Effective Date: September 1, 2025

These Terms of Membership ("Terms") govern your participation in the Vezity Visuals Collective ("the Collective"), a curated network of creative professionals. By applying to or participating in the Collective, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not participate in the Collective.

1. Membership Overview

The Vezity Visuals Collective is a curated network of creative professionals including photographers, videographers, designers, and other visual artists. Membership is selective and based on portfolio review, professional experience, and alignment with our values.

1.1 Membership Types

• Featured Member: Full membership with portfolio listing, client referrals, and collaboration opportunities.
• Associate Member: Provisional membership with limited benefits and review periods.
• Alumni Member: Former members who maintain network access without active listing.

1.2 Membership Criteria

To be considered for membership, applicants must:

• Demonstrate professional experience in their creative field
• Maintain a professional portfolio of work
• Adhere to ethical standards in their practice
• Align with the Collective's values of creativity, professionalism, and collaboration

2. Application and Selection Process

2.1 Application Submission

All applications are submitted through our official application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered. By submitting an application, you:

• Confirm that all information provided is accurate and truthful
• Grant permission for portfolio review by our selection committee
• Understand that submission does not guarantee acceptance

2.2 Review Process

Applications are reviewed within 5-7 business days. The selection committee evaluates based on:

• Quality and originality of portfolio work
• Professional experience and expertise
• Alignment with Collective values and aesthetic
• Potential for collaboration and contribution to the network

2.3 Notification

All applicants will receive notification of the committee's decision via email. Accepted members will receive onboarding instructions and membership details.

3. Member Rights and Responsibilities

3.1 Member Rights

As a Collective member, you have the right to:

• List your portfolio on the Collective directory
• Receive client referrals from Vezity Visuals
• Participate in Collective projects and collaborations
• Access member-only resources and networking opportunities
• Use the "Vezity Visuals Collective Member" designation in your professional materials

3.2 Member Responsibilities

As a Collective member, you agree to:

• Maintain professional standards in all client interactions
• Respond to client inquiries within 48 hours
• Submit quarterly updates to your portfolio when requested
• Participate in at least one Collective event or collaboration annually
• Credit Vezity Visuals Collective when using referred clients
• Maintain professional liability insurance (recommended)

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Member Work

Members retain full copyright to their original work. By joining the Collective, you grant Vezity Visuals a non-exclusive license to:

• Display your portfolio on the Collective website and marketing materials
• Use samples of your work for Collective promotion and marketing
• Feature your work in Collective showcases and exhibitions

This license is limited to Collective-related promotion and does not transfer ownership of your work.

4.2 Collective Brand

The "Vezity Visuals Collective" name and logo are trademarks of Vezity Visuals. Members may use these marks only as expressly permitted in writing and must cease use immediately upon termination of membership.

5. Client Referrals and Commission

5.1 Referral System

The Collective operates a client referral system where:

• Vezity Visuals may refer clients to appropriate members
• Members may refer overflow work to other Collective members
• All referrals should maintain the Collective's professional standards

5.2 Commission Structure

For client referrals originating from Vezity Visuals:

• A 15% commission applies to the total project fee
• Commission is due within 7 days of client payment
• Detailed commission reports must be submitted monthly
• Failure to report commissions may result in membership termination

6. Code of Conduct

All members must adhere to the Collective Code of Conduct:

• Treat all clients, members, and staff with respect and professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and Collective business
• Avoid conflicts of interest with Collective operations
• Represent the Collective positively in all professional interactions
• Report any unethical behavior by other members to Collective leadership

7. No Membership Fees

As we build our creative family, there are currently no membership fees. We believe in supporting our creative community without financial barriers. This policy may be reviewed in the future as the Collective grows, but any changes will be communicated well in advance with member input.

8. Termination of Membership

8.1 Voluntary Termination

Members may terminate their membership with 30 days written notice.

8.2 Involuntary Termination

The Collective reserves the right to terminate membership for:

• Violation of these Terms or Code of Conduct
• Unprofessional conduct damaging to the Collective's reputation
• Failure to meet membership responsibilities
• Non-payment of commissions due

8.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

• All membership benefits cease immediately
• Member listing is removed from the Collective directory
• License to use Collective branding is revoked
• Outstanding commissions remain due

9. Limitation of Liability

The Vezity Visuals Collective acts as a referral network and does not:

• Guarantee any minimum amount of client referrals
• Assume liability for member-client relationships or disputes
• Provide legal or financial advice to members
• Assume responsibility for member business operations

Members are responsible for their own business insurance, contracts, and legal compliance.

10. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email. Continued participation in the Collective after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action. The prevailing party in any legal action shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.
